The Air Jordan 4 Retro SP are releasing Friday 17th March.
Nike SB and Jordan Brand have come together to design the Air Jordan 4 Retro SP. The Air Jordan 4 debuted in 1989 and was the fourth signature sneaker designed for the Chicago Bulls player Michael Jordan. Tinker Hatfield designed the shoe and it is often considered to be one of the best footwear designs he has ever done, making the shoe one of the most popular styles of Jordans out there.
The Air Jordan Retro SP in ‘Pine Green’ has a leather upper that breaks in more easily when skating than the standard Jordan 4 and the streamlined forefoot interior provides an excellent board feel. Extra padding has been added on the ankle collar, along with a more flexible ‘SB’ branded heel tab and a sectioned gum rubber on the outsole to create a superior skating experience with an enhanced grip. The ‘wings’ are made from a rubber compound which withstands grip tape better than traditional materials and the general stitching across the shoe follows Nike SB’s guidelines to ensure durability.
The Pine Green detailing can be seen on the midsole, eyelets and sock liner, with the upper made from white leather with grey suede overlays on the forefoot. The shoe is completed with the red Jumpman logo and the Pine Green Nike SB logo.
